Call for Nominations for the 2022 Internet Governance Forum (IGF)
Multistakeholder Advisory Group (MAG) and the MAG Chair
The Internet Governance Forum (IGF) Multistakeholder Advisory Group (MAG) established by the United Nations Secretary-General in 2006, is instrumental in planning the programme of the annual IGF.
On behalf of the United Nations Secretary-General, we are inviting nominations from all stakeholder and regional groups for the 2022 IGF MAG and the MAG Chair according to the established principles and practices of MAG rotation and selection of its members. The MAG terms of reference, including individual member responsibilities, group procedure, and the composition of the MAG are available at the IGF website1 .
Governments, the private sector, civil society, and technical communities should submit names of candidates from developed and developing countries as well as from countries with economies in transition. Successful nominees will become part of the MAG for a period of one year and are expected to bring the perspectives of their respective groups to the multistakeholder consultation process.
Please submit nominations using the online submission template available at the IGF website to the IGF Secretariat by 10 September 2021.
Representatives of stakeholder groups are invited to submit nominations for the MAG Chair directly to the IGF Secretariat at nominations [at] intgovforum [dot] org.
We would like to express our gratitude to all past and present members of the MAG and the MAG Chair, who have contributed their time, effort, and valuable guidance to ensure the smooth and effective running of the IGF.
Thank you and I look forward to the continued success of the Internet Governance Forum.
Mr. LIU Zhenmin
